Raubahn summons you to Alliance headquarters to discuss strategy after the battle in the Ghimlyt Dark.

Requirements

This quest is available if you have completed the quest A Brief Reprieve.

Starting the Quest

Talk to the Resistance Fighter in The Lochs to begin the quest.

Speak with Raubahn

Talk to the Resistance Fighter and say Yes to go to Alliance Headquarters. Go north to where the orange arrow is pointing in the minimap. There will be a glow around Raubahn, indicating an instanced battle. Check on Raubahn and there will be several cutscenes. These cutscenes are important, so it is recommended to watch them either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room. After the cutscenes, the battle will ensue.

Solo Duty: A Requiem for Heroes

Phase 1

Your hotbar/crossbar is replaced with a small number of actions. Use Yagetsu Combo to do a single-target attack on the enemy. Ajisai is a single-target attack that inflicts a temporary damage-over-time status to the enemy. Use Hissatsu: Gyoten to rush to the target and do a single-target attack. Second Wind restores a small amount of HP. Sort Pet Hotbar allows you to change the order of these actions.

Start by using Hissatsu: Gyoten to rush to the enemy. Then use Ajisai to inflict the damage-over-time status on the enemy, and be sure to use Ajisai again whenever the enemy recovers from the damage-over-time status. Then use Yagetsu Combo repeatedly. It is recommended to only use Second Wind after you are attacked with Unmoving Troika.

Lyse will create a large blue circle marker in the area. This will give you a temporary four minute increase your attack and defense.

Zenos will use Concentrativity, knocking everyone back and dealing damage.

Keep Zenos near Lyse so he will be within her blue circle attack marker. You should also stand in this circle to have some HP restored and get a temporary Regen status that restores health over time.

Zenos makes lightning swords appear, and a moment later there will also be a knockback marker on the ground. Make sure to position yourself to be knocked back into the second set of swords to appear. This will give you enough time to run out of the way of the circle attack markers around the swords. You can use Hissatsu: Gyoten to quickly rush out of range of the circle attack markers.

Zenos will hit with Unomving Troika three times. Use Second Wind to restore some of your health at this time, and stand in the blue circle around Lyse to be healed further.

More lighting swords will appear, and you and Lyse and Yugiri will be marked with large circle attack markers that follow you. Circle attack markers will appear around each sword, and Zenos will also start casting Vein Splitter, which places a large circle attack marker around him. Move away from your allies and move away from the circle attack marker around Zenos and the swords.

Zenos attacks again with Concentrativity, then makes red swords appear around the area. You will be stunned and pulled to the center. When you are able to move again, stand in the line stack marker around Lyse or use Hissatsu: Gyoten to rush to Zenos, making sure to stand directly in front of him to reduce the damage of the line attack.

Continue using the above strategies. Eventually, there will be a cutscene.

Phase 2

Attack Zenos and he will eventually cast Flood of Darkness, which creates alternating circle attack markers around the edge of the area. He will then cast Vein Splitter, covering the middle of the area with a circle attack marker. Stand in a safe spot around the edge, moving as needed to get out of the alternating circle attacks.

Lightless Spark is a cone attack. Move to the side of or behind Zenos to avoid it.

Art of the Swell will knock you back from the center. It is followed by a donut attack around the edge, so be sure to run back toward the center to avoid the donut attack.

Art of the Sword is a series of line attacks, one after the other. Move out of each line attack marker to avoid these attacks while also staying out of the donut attack area.

While Zenos casts Art of the Storm, he will be surrounded by lightning. Move away from him to avoid being afflicted with Paralyze status. Art of the Storm will create directional circle attack markers around Zenos. To avoid the attack, make sure not to stand in front of any of the arrows in the circle attack markers. At this time, Zenos will also cast Entropic Flame, a line attack, so wait for the lightning circles to move out of the way and then move out of the path of the line attack.

Zenos will become untargetable, and his three swords will appear around the area. An Aether Transfer gauge will start to fill up. Destroy each sword as quickly as you can. At the same time, Zenos's shadows will attack from various places around the area, sometimes doing multiple line attacks, sometimes multiple cone attacks, sometimes multiple circle attacks. Stay out of the attack markers while continuing to destroy the swords.

After you destroy the swords, or after the Aether Transfer gauge fills, Zenos will attack Darkblight three times, followed by The Final Art.

Zenos will begin creating dark orbs that float outward from him. Dodge his attacks while also avoiding the orbs. When the knockback marker appears in the area, move closer to Zenos to avoid being knocked back into the unsafe area.

Continue using the above strategies. Eventually, there will be a cutscene. This one is important, so it is recommended to watch it either now or via the Unending Journey in an inn room.

Return to the Rising Stones

Teleport to Mor Dhona and enter the Rising Stones. There will be a cutscene.
