It took a really long time, but I finally managed to get a Golden Axe! I had kept on collecting red turnip seeds from Joan, and whenever Wendell came to town, I would plant a red turnip seed, dig it up immediately, and then give the turnip to Wendell. I wasn’t always lucky enough to get a turban, but I got quite a few, so I would always give one to Saharah when she came through. I kept not getting the massage chair. It was just red vase after red vase. But finally, one day a few months ago, I got a massage chair. It wasn’t until after the New Year that I happened to play on a day when Tortimer was outside, but I gave him the massage chair as soon as I saw him. I quickly put the scallop in my house to make sure that nothing happened to it, and then I just waited until a day when Pascal happened to visit. He said that I lied about dropping the Golden Axe, but he was OK with that. He gave me the Golden Axe and jumped into the ocean.

The grass was looking brown in Hyrule today. Some of the trees still have green leaves, but some are also turning light brown as the sunlight becomes less direct and the days grow shorter.
Dotty came over to visit me. She said that my house was messy, but nevertheless gave me three out of five stars. She only stayed for a couple of minutes, though.
Today, Blaire visited. She saw my billiard table and jokingly said that I was a poser for having a billiard table when I don’t even know how to play billiards. She also gave me three out of five stars, and complimented me on having tidied up for her visit. She, too, only stayed for a couple of minutes, though.
Lucky moved away. I’m sad about that. He was pretty cool, but I never got to be close friends with him.
Walker moved into town. He is a dog, and his personality seems a lot like Lucky’s. Maybe I’ll be able to befriend Walker.
Blaire recently gave me her picture, as did Roscoe.
I was lucky enough to wish on a shooting star the other day. Wishy gave me a Kiddie Stereo.
It seems that several of the animals in my town are into fossils right now. I think that Roscoe, Mathilda, and maybe Blaire are the ones who are interested in fossils at the moment.
I very much hope that Saharah will visit this week…. I have been waiting for her for months now. I keep getting Gracie almost every week!
Last week, Pascal was one of the special visitors. He was just standing there on one of the promontories, looking out to sea. I stood next to him for a while, taking in the view. Then he shared some wisdom with me, gave me an anchor, and jumped into the ocean and swam away.

My special visitor today was Gracie. I seem to get her in my town really often, and that frustrates me. I’m not very interested in collecting unique Gracie outfits. I would rather get a different visitor. I have been waiting for Saharah for weeks, hoping to give her the Turbans that I received from Wendell….
I have not talked much to the latest newcomer in town: Curly.
I gave Lucky a mantis. He challenged me to find a rare bug, but I have not done so yet.
Mathilda wants fossils. I have one aboveground that I dropped during the Acorn Festival, but I forgot to have Blathers identify it. I’ll give it to Mathilda tomorrow.
One of my roses died, to my surprise. I was pretty sure that I had watered them all. And now I realize that I forgot to water a wilting one today. It is not a big problem, though, I guess. There were some new roses that had grown next to some existing roses in the garden, so I can at least fix one of the rose holes. Probably another group of red roses will appear in town somewhere that I can use to fix the other rose hole.
I have five golden roses….

I lost count of how many acorns I gathered over the past few days. On Friday, I was gathering acorns while away from home and my DS battery became low, so I had to stop. After that, I was tired, and forgot to gather the rest of the acorns that I hadn’t gotten to yet! That meant that I might have lost some acorns…. But I still was able to give a total of 230 acorns to Cornimer.
I’m looking forward to having special visitors again, this coming week. I had missed that.
Lucky has seemed cold to me. I wrote him some letters to try to make him be more friendly to me….
Curly moved in. He’s a pig.
Nookington’s had a dolly for sale yesterday. There’s a clearance sale today at 7PM.

Good acorns given to Tortimer: 34
Rotten acorns disposed of: 11
Total: 45 acorns
Considering that I have to get 230 non-rotten acorns to get a full set of Mush Furniture, that means that I need to get an average of 33 acorns per day. I’m in good shape so far.
I sold the Mush Furniture from Cornimer.
There is a Royal Crown on sale in Able’s, but I’m about 90,000 bells short of being able to afford it! Oh, well. I would rather have more money saved up before I buy such an expensive item, anyway.
Mathilda moved in. She’s a kangaroo and has a baby kangaroo in her pouch! She is surely the strangest animal that I have have ever had in my town so far.

I don’t know if I’m ready for the Acorn Festival. I cut down a lot of trees recently because my town felt too crowded. That might mean that there aren’t enough acorns for me to get another full set of Mush Furniture. I’m OK with that, though! I’m going to just sell the furniture, anyway.
Joey moved out. :( He was my favorite villager! He was so cute, with his big eyebrows and diaper.
Buck moved in. He went through a chic furniture phase, but now I have satisfied his need for chic furniture, so he’s thinking about what hobby to move onto next.
Roscoe seems to be considering a transition from looking for fossils to looking for furniture.
Lucky had been sick, but I cured him with medicine over the past few days. He’s asking for a cricket. Maybe I’ll find one for him today.
Nan is asking for a blue sky shirt, but it turns out that I don’t have one in my catalog!! I’m not sure what to do about that, except I guess just hope that a blue sky shirt will show up in Able’s.
Tom Nook was selling a Baby Panda the other day. It’s like a bluish-green color! It looks very cool.

The villagers in my town have been telling me that next week is the acorn festival. This means that there will not be any special visitors next week. But this also means that I might be able to get some new mush furniture. I guess it will a good way to get lots of money….
I haven’t had any special visitors so far this week. Either they will show up tomorrow and Thursday, or I missed Gulliver yesterday or today….
Nobody seems to be asking me for things to satisfy their hobbies lately except for Lucky, who keeps asking for a grasshopper. I keep not playing early enough in the day to catch one, though.

Jitters is moving. He had a couple of colds while he lived in Hyrule. He also was into clothing. I gave him a bone shirt, rose shirt, and maybe some others….
Lucky moved in. He looks cool! He’s a dog, but he’s all wrapped up in bandages so that all you can see is his eye, and some of the black fur on his face around his eye. His house has Egyptian-looking walls and carpet. I wonder if he’s supposed to be Anubis or something. But Anubis has a jackal head. So maybe not. Lucky seems to have a lazy personality.
I missed a clearance sale at Tom Nook’s this weekend, but that’s no big deal to me. If I had missed a Spotlight Item, then I might have been a little bit sad, but I don’t feel sad about missing the clearance sale.
Roscoe wants fossils of pachysomethingsomething dinosaurs. I haven’t found any so far, but I did find THREE parasaur torsos. What are the odds? Small, I suspect.
I think I missed a shooting star on the day that Katrina came and gave me bad luck. It seems strange that you can only have bad luck after visiting a fortune teller. I guess Katrina secretly curses her patrons sometimes…. Maybe. I knew I had bad luck after visiting her because I kept falling down when I tried to run. Of course, missing the shooting star had nothing to do with bad luck in the game. I looked away from the screen and saw the shooting star as I looked back, and I wasn’t fast enough to wish on it. Alas!
I have been wearing a new costume in the game: a police hat, gas mask, and military uniform. It looks like a scary comic book character. I was thinking of trying to get Harriet to give me a short hairstyle to go better with the costume, but I might not.
